Hi everyone,


I’m so glad that North Light decided to publish Splash every year now instead of every other year. I just finished Splash 12, and Splash 13 is already upon us! The Calls for Entry have been posted online and the printed forms are about ready to be mailed.


Not only will publishing a new Splash book every year give more artists the opportunity to be published, it also gives all of us the opportunity to look at more luscious artwork more often! I still have the highest standards for selecting the winners for the series, but the new wonderful entries from artists I haven’t yet heard of never fails to surprise and delight me. Be looking for some new names in Splash 12!


Thanks to all of you for your kind interest in Splash over that past twenty years. My experience has taught me that either watercolor attracts exceptionally nice people, or that watercolor makes people really happy so they become nicer people! Either way, it’s a joy to be associated with you all.
